July 25, 2022 at 2:04 pmWe were so saddened to learn of your Mom’s passing from Carnetta and Don VonderHaar. So many wonderful times together with our three families…and there were 20 of us!!! Dinners and parties at our homes, German fests, dances, dinners out (a rare treat!). She was a loving and generous woman, wonderful wife and mother, and devout Christian. She will be greatly missed by many!
May your faith strengthen you and your hope of Heaven comfort you during this difficult time.

July 21, 2022 at 7:46 pmI met Darlene 86 years ago at the wedding of my beloved uncle, Oscar Meseke, to my favorite aunt, Mae (nee Ortleb) Meseke. I was just a toddler at the time, but Aunt Mae always kept me up-to-date with news about Darlene and her family over the years. I can remember running into her and her mom many times when we’d be out shopping, and also seeing Darlene on a number of other occasions. She always had the biggest smile, and was so friendly and easy to talk to. My condolences go out to all the family, and I know she will be missed by many.

July 20, 2022 at 9:15 pmDarlene was the most loving and giving friend to our family. When my younger brother was born in 1970, Darlene watched me (2) and my sister (11) so my mother could focus on her new baby. The house was always full of joy and my memories are sweet. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God, rest In Peace. Amen

July 20, 2022 at 2:13 pmThe Dorn Family would like to extend our deepest sympathies on the lost of your Mother. My Mom, June, has many, many fond memories spending time with your Mom and their “group” , along with school and church gatherings. I was lucky to attend some of their times at the Muny, and your Mom was the sweetness lady and a dear friend to all.
Sending Prayers
Debbie, June, and Jim Dorn
