Frank X. Foran
Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Frank X. Foran departed this life Thursday, March 23, 2023 at the age of 85 at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur, Missouri. Beloved husband of 35 years to Leslie D. Foran (nee Kelly), son of the late Patrick and Bridget Foran, loving father of Conor, Dervla, Finnuala, and Shane, brother of Patricia (Patrick) Greaney and the late Mary Foran. Born in Dublin, Ireland, and raised in Dublin and Connemara, Frank began work as a chicken farmer for the Irish Development Authority. He then returned to Galway to manage the Galway Foundry. He achieved the distinction of Chartered Secretary (CPA) before traveling to London to see the world (107 countries), embarking on his 40 year career in the petrochemical industry. He served as VP for several oil companies, retiring from Petrolite in St. Louis MO. He was a well-loved, long-time volunteer at his favorite restaurant, Nachomama’s. He spent his retirement years with his family and volunteering at church. Frank loved God, his family and friends, America, and Ireland. Special thanks to Dr. Gordon Robinson who assisted him for over 30 years in managing his health. Frank and his family had and have the greatest love, gratitude, and respect for Dr. Robinson’s professional skill and his great kindness and friendship. Many thanks to Mercy Hospital and Rehab, all the doctors, nurses, and staff who cared for Frank.
Services: Visitation and funeral Mass will be held Friday, March 31 at St. Anselm Catholic Church, 530 South Mason Rd, Creve Coeur, MO 63141. Visitation at 12 Noon with the Mass to follow at 1 p.m. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred, or donations to St. Louis Abbey, any veteran’s organization, or the House Rabbit Society of Missouri.
