Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Sun. Oct. 8, 2023.  Beloved daughter of the late Judge James F. and Harriet (Shafer) Nangle.  Cele was the 5th of 12 Nangle siblings.  She is survived by her siblings, Kathleen Nangle (John Shaefe), Harriet (the late Dr. Edward) Rose, Paul (the late Cheryl) Nangle, Theresa (Tom) Obermeyer, Margaret (the late Neal) Murphy, and Stephen (Pam) Nangle, and her beloved sister-in-law, Barbara Nangle.  She was preceded in death by her siblings, James F. (the late Carol) Nangle, Nancy (the late Bud) Byrne, Edward Bruce Nangle (survived by Barbara), Donald (survived by Jeanne) Nangle, and Timothy Nangle.  Foster mother of Barbara Lattimore.  Cele is also survived by her 38 nieces and nephews, who were all impacted by her life and spirit, and her many great-nieces and great-nephews.  Cele was a larger-than-life person who lived a big life to the fullest, filling it with family, fun, and travel, and also a sense of service to neighbor that was unparalleled. She will be missed.

Services:  A memorial Mass will be held on Sat. Oct. 21 at Immacolata Catholic Church at 11 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cele’s favorite charities:  Backstoppers https://backstoppers.org/ or St. Louis Area Foodbank  https://stlfoodbank.org/.
