Betty Ann Bussmann Ribbing Brueggeman died peacefully October 10, 2023. She was 78 years old.

Betty was born July 17, 1945 to Harry T. Bussmann, Jr. and Billie Ruth Faessler Bussmann in St Louis, MO.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her elder sister Bonnie Ruth Bussmann (Mellor Starcher) and her dear nephew Luke William Mellor.  She is survived by her younger brother, Harry T. Bussmann, III (Susan), her daughter Billie Marie Ribbing Orsan (Salah), and her son James Jay Ribbing, II (Ashley).

Betty graduated from St Joseph’s Academy and attended Loretto Heights College.  She graduated from UMSL with a BA.

Betty married the late James J. Ribbing in St Louis in 1966.  She married Robert C. Brueggeman in 1982.

Betty left Supreme Express, her father’s company in 1985 and started her own successful company Buebex Enterprises with her longtime friend Robert Sexaur.  She served on the board of Wisconsin Porcelain in Sun Prairie, WI and on the board of Our Lady of the Rivers in Portage des Sioux.

She was the proud Grammy of Lea, James, Jace, Jayden and Jaxton Ribbing and Rana and Malik Orsan.

Betty’s exquisite needle point projects leave a tangible legacy for her family and friends.

She was our dear daughter, sister, wife, mother, and Grammy. Betty was Sweet, kind, and funny. She lived a life of human and pet generosity and maintained her devotion to God.
