Bob Noonan September 8, 1937 - August 28, 2024

Robert M. Noonan

passed away Wednesday August 28, 2024 at age of 86 after a lengthy illness.  He was born in St. Louis City on September 8, 1937, youngest child of his late parents Richard P. Noonan and Mary Cecilia Kerr Noonan.  Beloved husband for 64-1/2 years of Nancy Shocklee Noonan, dearest father of R. Christopher Noonan, the late Cathleen Johnson (Edward), Susanne Taylor (Stan), Michael P. Noonan (Anne), loving grandfather of 14:  Luke, Cole, Adam, and Anderson Noonan; Abby, Carrie, Eddie, and Ryan Johnson; Nick and Lauren Taylor; the late Shannon Claire, Sarah, Theresa, Patrick, and Matthew Noonan, brother of the late MaryAnn Strauss and Richard Noonan, uncle of many Strausses, Noonans, and friend to many.  Bob was a Boy Scout forever: Cub Scout and Boy Scout (Eagle Scout) as a youth, and an adult leader, founding Scoutmaster of Troop 371 at his parish, St. Clare of Assisi, founding Cubmaster of restarted Pack 371, and a recipient of Scouting’s Silver Beaver Award for his decades of dedicated service to the community.  Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.  Bob also built a beautiful home for his family.

Services:  Visitation and funeral Mass will be held Saturday, September 14 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 15642 Clayton Rd., Ellisville.  Visitation at 11 a.m. with the Mass to follow at 12 noon.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Contributions to St. Clare of Assisi for Masses or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital appreciated.
