Louis Daniel Higgs
To family and friends he is known by Dan or Danny. Father of two Fantastic kids Danielle and Zack, crazy uncle to many (some not even related to him), short in stature but larger than life brother, and steadfast friend to all.
Danny never refused to help anyone in need and truly had a heart of gold. He was the most loyal, reliable, trustworthy, caring, and sentimental person anyone could be lucky enough to know. He was considered a best friend by many.
Those who knew him best understood his inquisitive nature. No matter where he wandered, Danny never met a stranger and always made new friends.
Everyone saw Dan as their Go-To-Guy because he could always be counted on when you needed him.
This world has lost a sweet soul. He was filled with wit, joy, and hilarity that he certainly got from his mother Jayne. He followed her legacy of empathy and compassion for others. He was ultimately just a really great guy in every way.
He now is home with his father Jim, brother Neal, and his mother Jayne who has waited a long time to welcome her favorite of her six kids (We all really knew he was her favorite even though she secretly told each of us the same thing). Danny will spend the rest of eternity engaging in telling bad jokes, and reviving great memories with his most favorite person ever his mom Jayne.
While we may be heartbroken we recognize how lucky we are to have had Danny in our lives, and are thankful that he had all of you in his.
Feel no guilt in laughter
Feel no guilt in laughter, he’d know how much you care. Feel no sorrow in a smile that he is not here to share. You cannot grieve forever, he would not want you to. He’d hope that you could carry on the way you always do. So, talk about the good times and the way you showed you care. The days you spent together, all the happiness you shared. Let memories surround you, a word someone may say. Will suddenly recapture a time, an hour, a day. That brings him back as clear as though he were still here. And fills you with the feeling that he is always near. For if you keep those moments, you will never be apart. And he will live forever locked safely within your heart.
Please join us for a celebration of his life

December 18, 2018 at 1:59 pmI’ve only known (wrorked with) Dan for less than a year. But in this short time, he had often brought a smile to my lips and heart. He was very supportive when I was going through a health issue earlier this year. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family and many friends.
