November 17, 2024 at 7:24 pmDon was always our best of everything. The best prom date. The best friend for 60 years. The best father to our son, Chris. The best friend and husband to dear Joyce. The best brother to Charley, Ron and Jim. Always faithful. Always there no matter what we brought to him.
He was the rock of the Lamkin family. He is loved always and will be missed so much.

November 17, 2024 at 2:07 amBeing Sheila‘s sister, Don was brother in law, although he wasn’t blood, he was still my brother, I was close to him because he was pleasant non-judgmental caring. He noticed me at 14 years old, bought me art supplies, guess he saw potential that nobody else paid attention to, carried me into my adult years and he made a big impression on how I live my life. He was important person to me. He was always there from 14 years old after natural brother died, thank you Don. I’m sure you’re in a beautiful restful place , much love always’ you are so missed”

November 16, 2024 at 12:26 amHe was, and in a lot of ways still is, the best Father a person could ever hope for. From the age of 19, when my mother, Shiela, literally showed up pregnant at his door he has always been my Father, my Dad and my teacher. His support was (and is) unwavering. He was always there. And now it tears at my soul that he isn’t anymore. I will miss him, my loving Father, even beyond my own passing.
