Frederic Ellsworth Brown
Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Fred passed away peacefully on Friday, January 26, 2024. Dear husband of Carole Ann Brown for 65 years; dear father of Fred Brown, Clayton (Jill) Brown, and Betsy Brown; dear grandfather of Cameron (Madison) Brown, Hunter (Lauren Neighbors) Brown, and Parker Brown; dear brother of Anita Bartell, Charles Brown, and Martha Doran.
Fred was born in St. Louis. He lived a short time in Memphis before moving to St. Louis. He was a graduate of Chaminade College Prep and Washington U, St. Louis. He was an inspiration to everyone he met and will be missed by many.
Our heartfelt thanks to the Step-down Unit 490 at Mercy for the care and friendship they gave to both Fred and our family.
Services: Visitation and Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 18th at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 1510 Bopp Road, Des Peres, MO 63131. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. with the Memorial Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to One Classroom, P.O. Box 221447, St. Louis, MO 63122, or to Meds & Food for Kids, Suite 355, 8050 Watson Road, St. Louis, MO 63119.

A simple thing like a hand shake in Clovis NM and treating you like family. They say that you can tell alot about a man by his hand shake, Mr Brown you where a rare breed and it was a honor to have know you. Rest In Peace.
