Mary Kathleen “Kathy” Gholson
(nee Frey) passed peacefully at her home on Monday, May 23, 2022 at age 74 years old.
Beloved wife of James “Jim” Gholson, daughter of the late William and Catherine Frey, sister of Scott Frey, the late Bill Frey, Bob Frey, and Norma Jean Ray, Jack (Joyce) Gholson, Jean Tiemann, the late Judy (Rich) Anderson and Jerry (Hazel) Gholson, wonderful mother to Jim, Steve (Maria), Michelle Koerber, Kathleen (John) Schupp, and Matt (Roni), cherished grandmother of 17 and great-grandmother of 5, dear aunt, neighbor and friend to all who knew and loved her. May her beautiful smile live in our hearts forever.
Jim & Kathy graciously donated their bodies to St. Louis University School of Medicine. A Celebration of Life for both of Heaven’s new Angels will be held on Sunday, June 26 at the Elks Lodge, 1163 Tom Ginnever Avenue, O’Fallon, MO 63366 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

May 25, 2022 at 8:30 pmSo sorry to hear of Kathy’s passing. She was a great friend and neighbor for a long time. Bob and I were supposed to be meeting with Kathy and JIm to catch up soon. Time passes by too fast so don’t put off time with loved ones. Enjoy every minute you can as the lost time always leaves regret. Our thoughts and prayer to all the family and friends of this special woman. Kathy you are still in our thoughts and in our hearts. You are now free of all the pain you suffered here on earth.
