Sam was a contemporary of my older brother Tracy, and I got to know him through that connection. We maintained a relationship over the next forty or so years. My wife Jo Ann Kearns and I used to see Sam and Lily in the early years. I would to see him in the Kirkwood Schnucks in the later years. Sam was a great guy. He will be missed. Condolences to Lily and the family.
