Walter Matthew Casey Murphy

Resting in The Arms of The Lord, it is with deep sorrow we announce the death of Walter “Casey” Murphy of Warson Woods, Missouri on October 30, 2024.  He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on November 27, 1956 to the late William James Murphy and Mary Jo Murphy.  He is survived by his loving wife Marjorie Jo Murphy (nee Mikecin); son William “Bill” Murphy; daughter Colleen Jo Murphy; sister Marilyn (Marty) Crabdree.  He was a dear brother-in-law and uncle and loved by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Casey had a long career in sales working for Budnick Converting, Inc. in Columbia, Illinois.  He was a friend of Bill W and a member of the Legion of One Thousand Men.  Casey was an avid outdoorsman and happiest when fishing, canoeing and hiking with his beloved dog, Blitz.  He was most proud watching the successes of his children.

Services:  Visitation and Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 7 at Ste. Genevieve du Bois Catholic Church, 1575 Woodlawn Ave., Warson Woods, MO, 63122. Visitation at 10:30 AM with the Mass to follow at 11:00 AM.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Casey’s memory may be made to the Missouri Conservation Heritage Foundation or a charity of your choice.
