(March 21, 1940 – September 04, 2026)

Sharon Catherine (O’Brien) Calandro, 86, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church passed away peacefully at home on September 04, 2026. During her final years, the burden of dementia weighed heavily.

Sharon and her husband Nick married the love of their lives when they were wed on June 13, 1964.  She is survived by her husband and the four children born of their love: Lisa Maria Calandro (Tim), Ann Marie Padberg, Mark Nicholas Calandro (Katie), and Daniel Nicholas Calandro.  Sharon enjoyed and deeply cherished her grandchildren: Hannah and Sam Calandro, Sasha and Molly Padberg.

Sharon embraced life and tradition.  She loved people.  Family and friends were the center of her world; she was a devoted neighbor and parishioner.  Sharon dedicated 13 years to teaching elementary classes in the St. Louis Archdiocesan school system. Interacting with and instructing young children brought her much joy and fulfillment.  Throughout her life, Sharon valued her long and caring relationship with the Sisters of St. Joseph of Carondelet.

Sharon was the daughter of the late William and Arline O’Brien, and the beloved sister of Arline Eyermann, Mary Ann Rea, and the late Wiliam (Bill) O’Brien. Beloved sister-in-law, cousin and aunt.  Sharon touched many lives.  She will be missed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to Srs. of St. Joseph of Carondelet:  6400 Minnesota Ave., St. Louis, MO 63111.

Services:  Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 10:00 am-11:00 am at St. Joan of Arc Church, 5821 Pernod, St. Louis, MO 63139.  Mass will follow visitation, beginning at 11:00am at St. Joan of Arc.
