Barbara Barrett November 26, 1955 - November 12, 2019

Barbara Marie Barrett

After a courageous battle with cancer, Barb, 63, of Chesterfield left this life on November 12, 2019. Cherished daughter of the late John M. Barrett and the late Gloria B. Barrett, beloved sister of Nancy Barrett, John (Rhonda Smith) Barrett, Jr., and Diane (Don) Hill, special aunt to Amy (Jeff) Bauer, Katie (Mike) Eise and Chris (Michelle) Hill, great-aunt to Alex, Haley, Regan, Zoe, Grace, Josh, Sarah, Zach, Ellie, Rex, and Jack.

Barb spent her career as a dedicated nurse at Mercy, SSM St. Charles, and then retiring from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 562. She loved spending time with family and friends, which included going to Cardinals games, travel and meeting with her many girls groups. Later in life, she fell in love with owning racehorses. Olive Can, He’s Smashed, and This Duck Can Fly brought her much joy. She will be sending them peppermints from above. We wish to thank Lisa Berens of Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care for her loving care and support.

I also worked with Barb at St. John’s. I have great memories of Cardinal games and Mexico vacations. I still wear a STL Cardinal pendant received as a gift from Barb and others. I regret is that I didn’t stay in contact through the years. Barb was a great person. My deepest sympathy. RIP Barb.
