Daniel Burke March 17, 1938 - April 12, 2025

Daniel Patrick Burke

Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Born on March 17, 1938, in Saint Louis, Missouri, Daniel dedicated his life to faith, family, and service.

A man of unwavering faith, Daniel was devoted to the Catholic Church and held a special reverence for our Holy Mother. He found spiritual nourishment in the Latin Mass and remained steadfast in his dedication to the Catholic faith.

Daniel dedicated his life to public service, early in his career as a St. Louis Policeman and Firefighter, several years with the Des Peres and Town & Country public safety departments, and retired from St. John’s Mercy in 2001, after many years as their Safety Administrator.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ann Celeste (Kidd), his children: John and wife Nancy (Schwetz), Anne and husband Tom Swyers, Joseph and wife Felicia (Medlin), and Christina and husband Michael Brancato. Daniel’s legacy lives on through his children, (12) grandchildren, and (13) great-grandchildren.

Dan was the oldest of (7) children, preceded in death by his brother William Burke; his mother Helen (McGuire); and his father Daniel J. Burke.
