August 7, 2022 at 4:25 amI was shocked to learn on Facebook late Thursday afternoon that Donna had passed away.
It was Donna who had introduced me to Judy Brooks, who was later to become my beloved
wife. Donna and Judy were friends and next door neighbors. I was also a friend of Gerry
and his brother, Alf Lawler. After our marriages Judy and I remained good friends with Donna
and Gerry. Judy and I eventually made our home in Macomb, IL and Gerry and Donna in the
St Louis area. Over the years all of us got together many times in St. Louis and in Jerseyville
at Class Reunions. When Kelly was born, Judy and I were Godparents at her Baptism. Donna
and Gerry were also Godparents for my daughter, Angela’s’ Baptism.
My wife, Judy, passed away more than seven years ago. After her passing and my advancing
age, I wasn’t able to get together with Donna and Gerry as often as before.
I want to express my sincere condolences to Gerry and Kelly and all of the other relatives and
friends of the Lawler family. Donna made the world a better place and she will be missed. Frank
