Eileen Therese Hahn

Eileen was born October 26, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois to Fred J. and Rose Carmody Hahn.  She was the beloved sister of Rosemary
H. Shea and sister-in-law to the late Donald C. Shea.  Eileen was the aunt of Joseph (Stacey) Shea, Joan (Don) O’Neal, Patricia
Shea (Ernie-Paul Barrette), and Robert (Bonnie) Shea.  Eileen was the great- aunt of Ellen O’Neal, Jaclyn and the late Marty Shea, Helena Shea (Nick) Vitale, Grant Larson, and Adrian Shea, as well as the great-great-aunt of Nina Rosemary Vitale.

Eileen was a graduate of Nerinx Hall, Class of 1953, and Webster University.  Eileen was an active volunteer docent at the Missouri Botanical Garden and Henry Shaw’s Tower Grove House.  She was an Oasis teacher at Mary Queen of Peace helping primary grade students with reading.

Her special interests were golf, traveling, and the St Louis Blues.

Eileen’s family is extremely grateful to the staff of Bethesda Hawthorne Place for their loving care of Eileen.

In keeping with her generosity, Eileen donated her body to St Louis University School of Medicine.

Services:  A Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Mary Queen of Peace Church, 676 W. Lockwood Avenue, Webster Groves, MO.  Visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by Memorial Mass at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.
