Florence Ann Kueser
(nee McKeon), 89, of St. Louis, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Florence was married to her beloved husband, Donald Kueser, for 59 years. Together they built a home filled with music, faith, and the joy of raising three daughters.
A lifelong Catholic, Florence was baptized into the faith that guided her throughout her life. She attended City House for both grade school and high school, where her love of learning and her passion for music first took root. She later continued her education at Maryville University, where she earned her degree in Education. She devoted her early career to teaching kindergarten at Garfield Elementary in Normandy, Missouri.
After becoming a mother, she dedicated herself fully to raising her daughters, a role she cherished above all others.
Music was woven into every chapter of Florence’s life. She sang in the choirs at her parish and with the City House/Villa Alumni Choir. Over the years, Florence played and sang for countless weddings and funerals. Her love for performing began in grade school. Florence found joy on the stage and shared that joy generously with others. Florence was proud of her Irish heritage and was a lifelong Cardinals fan.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and James McKeon; her husband, Donald Kueser; and her brother, Robert McKeon. She is survived by her three daughters — Grace (Ron Reagan), Nancy (Tom Kickham), and Kathleen (Pat Mahon) — and by her six grandchildren: James (Kaitlynn), Matthew (Charlotte), Dylan, Kevin, Maggie, and Brendan. She was also a loving aunt and a cherished friend to many.
Florence will be remembered for her kindness, her devotion to faith and family, and the music she brought into the world — a legacy that will continue to echo in the hearts of all who knew her. “May the road rise to meet her, and may her song carry on.”
The family would like to thank Mari de Villa for their years of care and support. Also, thank you to BJC Hospice for making her final days peaceful.
Services: Visitation and Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at St. Anselm Parish, 530 S. Mason Road, Creve Coeur, MO 63141. Visitation at 10:00 a.m. with the Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Foundation, Visitation Academy St. Louis, or Maryville University.
