Judith Claire Luepke
The ageless and extraordinary fan of all things St. Louis, Judy passed away on August 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and fun in all those who encountered her. Loving wife of the late Henry F. ‘Hank’ Luepke, Jr.; mother of Carrie (Dale) Hermeling, Gretchen (Don) Shipp, Bud (Mary Nielsen) Luepke, and Mary Claire Sorensen; cherished grandmother of Kate (Matt) Hutchinson, Claire, and David Hermeling; Rainey (Stephen) Griffard, Adam (Peggy) Shipp, and Forest Shipp; Henry, Grace, and Anna Luepke; and Matt, Maggie, and the late Joe Sorensen; adoring great-grandmother of Margot and Charlie Hutchinson, dear sister of Jim and Gerry (Fiona) Schicker, Penny (the late John) Terry, and the late Jay (Beulah) Schicker. Judy was a vibrant and faithful spirit who truly and deeply cared about her family, her many friends, and the community causes she touched and served. She smiled, loved, and laughed and brought joy into our worlds.
Services: Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in University City, Thursday, September 5, 2024; visitation at 10:00 am with Mass following at 11:00 am.
