Karen Lorraine Schneider
Our beloved wife, sister, aunt, godmother, cousin, and friend to many passed away suddenly on October 26, 2021 at the age of 63 in Gig Harbor, WA. She was born on May 7, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois to William Alfred Schneider and Rosemary Fischer Schneider. She grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Villa Duchesne in 1976, University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1980 and University of Wisconsin School of Business in 1982. She was a successful business executive with a specialty in business development and contracts management. Over her career of 39 years, she worked for large corporations such as General Dynamics, Honeywell Aerospace, SAIC and Intel. She was passionate about animals, especially Newfoundland dogs, and was a volunteer for many organizations. She is survived by her beloved husband, Louis Perretta of Gig Harbor, WA, and her 4 sisters: Susan Schneider- Criezis (m. Demetrios Criezis) of Douglas, MI; Therese Huffman (m. Ron Huffman) of Atlanta, GA; Christine Knowlton of Peekskill, NY; and Katie Larson (m. Mark Larson) of Santa Cruz, CA.
Services: December 11, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anselm Church at The Priory, 500 S. Mason Rd., Creve Coeur, MO, followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery, 6901 Mackenzie Rd., St. Louis, MO and a reception.
