Born December 16, 1932 and fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Kenneth passed away December 8, 2023 at his son’s home in House Springs, MO.

Dear father of Wayne (Delsy) Portwine and Derek (Sue) Portwine, Kenneth is preceded in death by his beloved wife, the late Louise Portwine (nee Notzon), his eldest son Alan (Clarita) Portwine, and infant children, Mark, Mary Claire and Michael Portwine.

Dear grandfather of Kevin, Chrissy, Miranda, Catlyn, and Kayte.  Dear brother of Imogene (the late Roger) Gruenwald, the late Emilie (the late Robert) Kilian, the late Darlene Webster, and the late Aladene (John) Gest.

Dear great-grandfather, great-uncle, brother-in-law, cousin, foster father and friend to many.

Born in Prairie du Chien, WI, Kenneth proudly served his country in the US Air Force, lived a faith-filled life, and was dedicated to his family.  Kenneth and Louise both donated their bodies to St. Louis University School of Medicine.

Services:  Memorial Mass will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 17 Joy Avenue at Lockwood, Webster Groves, MO.  Visitation will take place from 4:30 – 5:45, Mass will follow at 6pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to a charity of your choice is appreciated.
