Marian Kuetemann December 15, 1929 - March 23, 2024

Marian Teresa Kuetemann

(nee Otte) passed away Saturday, March 23, 2024 at the age of 94, fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church.  She was proceeded in death by her husband, Raymond Kuetemann; her siblings Lucille (Carl) Olson, John (Naomi) Otte, Helen (Ralph) Haig, Robert Otte and Mary Jane Otte.

She had a welcoming smile to everyone she met.  Born and raised in the city of St. Louis, her life changed dramatically when she married a farmer, moved to the country and became a farm wife.

She loved this life and embraced it by learning to harvest and can a variety of fruits and vegetables, cook with an abundance of fresh produce and meat as well as gain the knowledge to support farming.

There was always room at the table for anyone that stopped by and no one ever left hungry or without a delicious dessert and cup of coffee (with half-and-half, of course).

She was a loving mother to the late Gary Kuetemann (Peggy), Gail (David) Greeley, and Kay (David) Kennedy.  Marian loved being a grandmother to Bill Kuetemann, Ryan Kuetemann, the late Daniel Greeley, Douglas (Ashley) Greeley, Michael (Terri) Kennedy, Brian (Sarah) Kennedy, and Megan (Tyler) McElroy.  She was a step-grandmother to Ginger Halm (Jason), Chris (Chantale) Kennedy, and Nickie (Aaron) Jones.

She was so happy to be a great-grandmother to Amelia Greeley, Connor McElroy, and Mason McElroy.  She was also a step-great-grandmother to Jordyn (Michael) Hoemmen, Dalton (Rachel) Halm, Hayden Halm, Laurie Ferron, Charles Ferron, Cole Jones and Gannon Jones.

Cherished as a sister-in-law to (the late Allen) and Bonnie Kuetemann and Sharon and Dale Stellhorn.  Marian was a caring and loving aunt, great-aunt and friend to many.

Beth, my Mom always loved working with you and shared so many fun stories of her days at Dierbergs. What a fun day it must have been to find out about the Rays and Garys. Our priest even included her “Extra Step” on the day of her funeral. It was so nice of you to share your memory here. I hope you’re all doing well. Kay

I worked with Marion at Dierbergs years ago and we found out we both were married to farmers with father and son being named Ray and Gary . We were connected from then on! Her laughter was contagious and her smile lit up a room ! She loved people and it showed, everyone loved Marion ! May she fly in heaven released of the bondages of this world . The best are always called home during the holiest of holidays , Jesus just needed to add a few more Gems to his crown!
