nee Meier died Wednesday, April 29, 2020, her 92nd birthday. She is survived by her sons James (René Rau ) of Columbia, MO, Dennis (Julia Lane) of Chevy Chase, MD, Greg (Donna) of Dallas, TX, Doug (Christy) of Naples,FL and daughter-in-law Sherry of St, Louis; grandchildren John (Kirsten), Colin (Beth), David (Jenny), Erin (John Bice), Alex (Kelly), Britta (Miguel Garza), Kerry, Brian, Ian, Annika, Claire, Grace, Doug and Taylor. She was Great Grandma (GG) Glennon to Darcy, Jack, Cecilia, Cooper, Ella Jane, Noelle and Marie. She was preceded in death by her husband, John ‘Jack’ Glennon, Sr, and their son, John ‘Jack’ Glennon, Jr.

Marilyn Jean Meier was born April 29, 1928 in St. Louis, the fourth child (Bill, Anne, Margie, Marilyn, Shirley, Stan and Jerry) of William and Leonora (Zinselmeier) Meier. A graduate of Maplewood High School, Marilyn married Jack Glennon May 29, 1948. During her life she enjoyed boating, water skiing, snow skiing, tennis, bridge, soap opera, crossword puzzles and cooking (not so much…) She was especially proud of being the mother of five sons.

Beyond her immediate family she is survived by her siblings, Margie Blais (Gerry), Shirley Guempel, Jerry (Betty) and sister-in-law Darlene (Stan); cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marilyn had been living in Dallas, TX, the past five years where she was lovingly cared for by her son Greg and daughter-in-law Donna.

Services: Private visitation and Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church – Valley Park, MO.
