I knew Phil when he was a high-school swimmer for Coach Dave Emory. It is hard for anyone who wasn’t there to understand how good a swimmer he was. He was the best we had ever seen, and an all-around quality person. I am happy to know he had a succesful life and sad that he had to go so soon.

Phil was a wonderful colleague. He was a consummate professional yet didn’t miss an opportunity to find humor in the moment with that infectious laugh.

    Condolences to the Hanel family.

I worked with Phil at the bank and got to know him over the years. He was a great guy! I’m glad he is reunited in Heaven with Peggy. Right now we don’t understand, but some day we will.
