Richard Charles Gardner, Jr.

‘Dick’ of St. Louis, Missouri passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at the age of 90. Dick was born to Richard Sr. and Mildred Gardner in St. Louis in 1933, where he lived his entire life, and he fondly remembered the freedom of riding all around town using street cars and trains. Dick graduated from Cleveland High School, where he met the love of his life and future with Barbara ‘Bonny’ Gardner (nee Wiegers). He went on to proudly serve his country as a member of the Missouri Air National Guard. Being an entrepreneur at heart, Dick, along with Bonny, founded and operated The Gardner Bindery Company for nearly 50 years. In his spare time Dick enjoyed spending time with his family including his Weimaraner dogs, fishing, marksmanship, collecting and restoring military vehicles.

Dick was preceded in death by his loving wife Bonny, his parents Richard Sr. and Mildred Gardner, sisters Mary and Kay Gardner and is survived by his three sons Richard, Garth, and Clay, and grandson Gregg.

Services:  Interment will be private at Resurrection Cemetery.
