89, of Olivette, MO departed this life on Tuesday, July 19, 2022.

Bob was born March 2, 1933 in St Louis, MO to Fletcher & Mamie Moeller Gotter.  His grandparents were important during his early life because his mother worked in the airline industry, considered essential to the war effort, and relocated to Memphis TN.  He graduated from Mizzou with a degree in Human Resources and Business Administration. Bob spent two years in the Army and was a tugboat operator in the harbor at Pusan, South Korea.  Bob and Shirley were college sweethearts at Mizzou and married in 1961 in Edina, Missouri and enjoyed a wonderful 61 years together.  Bob had 3 careers. The first as Personnel manager at Stix Baer & Fuller department store.  The second was as Director of Human Resources at Blue Cross Blue Shield and the third was as “Mr. Fixit” at the Boathouse in Forest Park.  He loved to learn and was a student of history.

He is survived by his wife Shirley of Olivette, MO, and sons Brian (wife Sharon) Gotter of O’Fallon, IL, Steve (wife Brenda) Gotter of Fenton, MO, and Greg Gotter of Florissant, MO, grandchildren Brady, Allison and Andrew Gotter, and cousins Joan Moeller of St. Louis and Jeannie Moeller Burke of the Dallas area.

Services:  A  Celebration of Life service  will be on Saturday, August 6, 2022 with visitation at 10:00 a.m. and a service at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church at 2730 Walton Road, St. Louis, MO 63114. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations to Wounded Warriors.

    Dear Shirley — I’m sorry to read about Bob’s passing in the Post-Dispatch. My sympathy is with you
    and your family. It’s so sad when one loses a mate.
