Robert “Bob” Michael Kerr
Departed this life on March 23, 2024 at the age of 77. Bob was a caring man who took seriously his role of husband, father, brother, friend and grandfather. He was unafraid of acting silly, loved to share his knowledge of history and enjoyed challenging mental puzzles. Also, there wasn’t a silly hat he wouldn’t wear.
He was a graduate of Saint Louis University, a member of the ROTC Air Force, and a dedicated parishioner at Immacolata Catholic Church and before then, Our Lady of Lourdes.
He liked to travel, and while he visited several countries including England, Germany, Belgium, France, Canada and India, he loved visiting the state of Colorado most.
He filled his life with family. He was married to Mary Ann for over 55 years, raised 4 daughters, spoiled 6 grandchildren and welcomed 3 brothers-in-law and 1 daughter-in-law to the family. He came from a large family, including 7 brothers and sisters, so every holiday was a busy one and embellished with decades of family jokes . . . Radio!
He was loved and will be missed.
Survivors include wife Mary Ann; daughters Beth (+Lisa), Christine Zagielski (+Mark), Jenny Bodmer (+Chris) and Kate (+David); grandchildren Caroline, Joe, Jessica, Ryan, Andrew and Asee; sisters Mary, Ann and Marie; brothers, Francis X. Jr., David and Donald; many nieces, nephews and cousins; Bob is preceded in death by his loving parents, Francis and Mary and his sister Margaret. He donated his body to SLU.
