Rosina ‘Nana’ Balestreri
(nee DiMarco) joined her beloved husband of 68 years, Joseph J. Balestreri, Sr. A devoted mother, she will be missed by her children Rosemarie Connett (Don Domina), Jim Balestreri, Annette (Ed) Culbertson, Anthony (Ellen Cordeal) Balestreri, Mark Balestreri, John Balestreri, Frances (Jerry) Epplin, Louise (Tim) Mattingly, and Chris (Teresa Kaufmann) Balestreri, 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren with one on the way!
Preceded in death by her son Joseph J. Balestreri, Jr. (Mary King), sister Frances (Fred) Siefert, and brother Tony (Delores Dresner).
Rose devoted many volunteer hours at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and used her expertise to coach volleyball there. Senior Olympics, locally and nationally, were a meaningful part of her life for over 40 years, shuffleboard being her primary joy. Through her later years, she was dedicated to her bowling team and Bridge partners, and enjoyed sewing, sailing, beach visits and traveling.
Services: A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 4 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 7148 Forsyth Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63105 at 11 a.m.
