Shirley Ann (Happe) Mannion 

Shirley went to be with the lord on June 17, 2022 at the age of 87. At her time of death, she was surrounded by her loved ones. She had a long marriage of 67 years with her beloved husband James E. Mannion. Shirley was very proud of her large family and the matriarch of a legacy. A devoted mom and homemaker, she leaves behind her seven children; Karen Ann (Bill) George, Rose (Pete) Decker, Patti (Don) Torgersen, Jimmy (Karen) Mannion, Cheri (Tim) Dickherber, Tim (Amy) Mannion, and Michael (Jennifer) Mannion. 

“Grandma” has 22 grandkids: Tracy Edwards, Steve and Robbie George, Amanda Belcher; Kevin (deceased), Chris, Matt, and Alex Decker; Nick and Ryan Novak, Rachel Laws; Katie and Dan Mannion, Megan White; Stefani Icardi, Amber Stein; Keely, Rory, and Molly Mannion; Brendan, Conor, and Lily Mannion. 

She also has 27 great grandkids: Caleb Rabassa, Luke, Taryn, and Olivia Kage; Cian and Isla George; Kyle George; Will, Maggie, Jacob, and Alana Belcher; Caitlin Pohlman; Madison Decker; Lochlan Nuckolls, Silas, Meredith, and Xander Decker; Brooke Turner, Autumn, Logan (deceased), Abby, Dylan, and Peyton Laws; Landon Servis; Alexis White; and Sullivan and Ariana Icardi.

She was preceded in death by her mother Rose F. Happe nee Mohr, father John W. Happe, brother Roland Happe, sister Rosemary Stahlbehl, and survived by brother Jack (Sue) Happe.

Shirley was a devout Catholic. She spent all her time with her husband Jim and dog Beau, and visited with her family often. She will be missed by all.

Services: Visitation and Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 22 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 403 North Main Street, O’Fallon, MO 63366. Visitation starting at 9:00 a.m. with the Mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. After the service concludes, she will be laid to rest in God’s loving arms at Our Lady Cemetery & Mausoleum, 8701 Orf Road, Lake St. Louis, MO 63367.
