Susan Layne Geeting

passed away peacefully in her home on December 14, 2024. Loving mother of David (Julie), Sarah, Jonathan (Michelle), and James. Cherished grandmother of Payton, Jesse, Allison, Caroline, Jane, Lindsey and Michael. Dedicated wife of Daniel. Beloved sister of Stephen, Gary, and Victor. Susan was born on November 8, 1945, in New York, to Richard and Lois Diehl. She graduated from Mott Community College in Flint, Michigan, with a nursing degree. Susan loved her work as an operating room nurse at Shriners Hospital. She treasured her friends and family, and inspired those around her with her strength, resilience and humor.  Susan will be brought home to Michigan, and her ashes will be laid to rest at her favorite place, Klinger Lake.  Susan will be deeply missed by all of her family members and many close friends.
