Susan Stoeberl May 31, 1943 - December 26, 2020

Susan M. Stoeberl

(nee Brady) Departed this life at the age of 77, Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Beloved wife of 54 years of the late Philipp A. Stoeberl, dear mother of David (Angela) Stoeberl, dear grandmother of Emily and Audrey Stoeberl.

Susan taught for over 40 years, the last 39 with the Ferguson-Florissant School District, she had a Master’s degree from UMSL and a Bachelor’s degree from Mount St. Joseph College.  She was a middle school English teacher with a background in elementary education, remedial reading, and learning disabilities.  She was often recognized for her teaching skills, serving as President of the Greater St. Louis English Teachers Association, and as a NIE ‘Newspapers in Education’ Advisory Board Member.

She was also a patron of the arts, especially the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, the Union Avenue Opera, and an avid Billiken basketball fan.  But most of all, she loved spending time with her granddaughters.

Services:  Private funeral Mass to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra, Opera Theatre of St. Louis, the Union Avenue Opera, or Saint Louis University are appreciated.
