Suzanne Sheridan Quinn

Born April 18, 1942 in San Francisco, died peacefully on October 6, 2019 in Saint Louis, while in hospice, after a long struggle with Frontal-Temporal Dementia.

Suzanne was the first of two children, and her childhood was spent in the gorgeous San Francisco Bay Area before her family moved to Evansville, IN.  She left Evansville to attend Maryville College in Saint Louis, where she earned a BA in Sociology, and also loved studying English and Art History.  After graduating from Maryville, she taught under-privileged children in the new Head Start program, and later enjoyed a successful career in real estate.  Her passions included travel, interior decorating, reading, cooking, dancing, live music (classical, opera and “oldies”), singing, and “kitty-cats.”  She was a lifelong Catholic and a member of Church of the Annunziata.

Suzanne is survived by two adult children, Katie Kearins (Saint Louis) and John Tambornino (Washington, DC), two grandchildren, Reed and Cassidy Kearins, who are students at Southern Methodist University and University of Santa Clara, and by her brother, Tom Sheridan (Evansville).

Throughout her life, she valued independence, helping those less fortunate, education, worship, beauty, and peace and quiet.  May we cherish her memory and her ideals.  Donations may be made to the St. Louis County Library Foundation, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63131-3598.
