LCDR Thomas W. Hanneke, US Navy Ret.

Born on March 6, 1948 and Baptized Into The Hope of Christ’s Resurrection, passed on Saturday, January 2, 2021.

Beloved husband of Pamela Christine Hanneke (nee Neff), dear father of Tanya (Chris) Buchheit, dear grandfather of Alexander Blase, Connor, Mallory, Paige, and Bryce Buchheit, dear brother of Msgr. Richard Hanneke, William (Laura) Hanneke, Timothy (Pat) Hanneke, and Daniel (Laura) Hanneke, dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.

Tom enlisted in the US Navy in 1967.  He served for 26 years, rising through the ranks to Lt. Commander.

Services:  Visitation and funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 25 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 7148 Forsyth Blvd.  Visitation at 10:00 a.m. with the Mass to follow at 12:15 p.m.  Interment with Full Military Honors at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

    My heart goes out to Pam, Tanya, and the entire family. Tom was a wonderful husband and father. I’ll always remember his dry sense of humor and the stories I heard about him playing golf with his grandson, Alexander.
