Beloved wife of 70 and ½ years of John L. Vitale, dear mother of Deborah Ann (Lee) Miller, John Joseph (Maggie) Vitale, Jimmy Vitale, and Jerry Vitale, dear daughter of George and Gertrude (neé Litteken) Cook,  dear grandmother of 17 (John 9, Debbie 5, and Jerry 3), dear great-grandmother of 23, dear sister of Marie, Estelle, Herbert, Corwin, Robert, and George.

Trudie was the youngest of seven, growing up on Lincoln Avenue in Normandy.  She was a party girl active in Variety Club, the Italian Golf Club, the Police Circus, Globe-Democrat Newsday sales, and sold Grandma Cook cakes and cookies after football games at Normandy High School.  In 1950, she was the Letterman Queen.

Trudie, Normandy Class of 1950 and John, Normandy Class of 1951, dated for 5 years then married in June 1955.

Trudie and family took many vacation trips to Florida, Colorado, Maine, California, South Dakota, North Carolina, and South Carolina.  Trudie loved her family and all the friends of so many years.  She had a wonderful and full life with all and loved the Lord, having visited the Carmelite Monastery daily for many years.

Services:  Visitation and funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, January 17 at Our Lady of the Pillar Catholic Church, 401 S. Lindbergh Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131.  Visitation at 10 a.m. with the Mass to follow at 11 a.m.  Interment Bellerive Gardens Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Carmelite Monastery, 9150 Clayton Road, St. Louis, MO 63124,  appreciated.
