James Dallas Fleming
Born on November 27, 1942, Jim passed away on November 13, 2021, St. Louis, MO. He was preceded by his parents, Paul T. & Afton O. Fleming (nee Ferguson). Beloved husband of 56 years to Ann M. Fleming (nee Carter); dear father of Stephen J. (Kimberly) Fleming and Kristine M. Fleming; loving grandfather of Cameron J. (Rebecca) Fleming and Jackson W. (Ashley) Fleming. Brother of Shirley M. (Richard) Barnett; deceased siblings include Carl T. Fleming; Delores K. Bauer; Ernest B. Fleming. Uncle to many nieces and nephews and their extended families.
Jim was an honored veteran, serving in the US Navy, Submarine Service during the Cuban Missile Crisis blockade in 1962. Jim graduated from Washington University EMBA. He worked for and then purchased a manufacturing company. He coached baseball and soccer teams for his children and then enjoyed watching his grandsons play baseball and hockey. Jim and Ann traveled across this country, visiting every state as well as many other countries. Jim authored three books and was well read on numerous subjects. He enjoyed woodworking and had a great mechanical mind. However, his passion was bass fishing from Missouri to Mexico.
Services: Visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 at St. John’s UCC Church, 15370 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield, MO starting at 10:30 a.m., until time of service at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Bellerive Gardens, 740 N Mason Rd. in Creve Coeur.
