Jerry Johnson July 18, 1933 - February 11, 2026

Jerome “Jerry” Johnson

passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the age of 92.  Beloved husband for 68 years of Margie Johnson (née Voss); dearest father of James (Debbie) Johnson, Anne (Jeff) Schwermer, Jane (Brad) Frick, Thomas (Nina) Johnson, and John (Nitzia) Johnson; dear grandfather of Dan (Christa) Schwermer, Megan (Jake) Schaake, Jon (Ally) Schwermer, Connor (Katherine) Frick, Abby (Chris) Getch, Anna Frick, Matthew Johnson, Alex Johnson, Margot Johnson, Brian Johnson, and the late Shane (Karly) Johnson; and great-grandfather of nine.

Jerry worked at Brown Shoe Company for over 40 years, but his greatest accomplishment was his family.  He always valued family time and was very devoted to them.

Jerry was a devout Catholic who attended daily Mass.  He also enjoyed daily walks around his neighborhood and became friends with many.

Jerry received wonderful care from Dolan Memory Care.

Services:  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date.

If desired, donations may be made to Catholic Charities.

Thank you, Jackie, for such sweet words. I loved getting to know you, and see you and Jim during my visits. I will miss not seeing your smiling face, and will always remember how you brought my dad communion and prayed with him.
      Love, Anne
