Joseph Dockery May 12, 1931 - February 19, 2019

Joseph Thomas Dockery

87, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Tuesday, February 19, 2019.

Beloved father of Maureen Hof (Glenn), Patrick Dockery (Esther) of Pflugerville, TX, Molly Zurek (Matt) of Austin, TX, Timothy Dockery of Austin, TX, and Bryan Dockery (Pamela) of Round Rock, TX, proud grandpa of 14, and loving great-grandpa of 5 ½, former husband of Rosemarie Dockery-Walsh.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph T. and Frances A. (nee Dunn) Dockery and his sister, Mary Agnes Fortel.  Beloved uncle, cousin, former brother-in-law, and friend to many.

Dad loved people and being a Realtor was a perfect fit.  He also loved to sing and his beautiful tenor voice could be heard all throughout his life, whether singing with the Austin Banjo Club, Concordia-Turners Variety Shows and then in later years at Village of Mackenzie and Sherbrooke Village talent shows and parties.

He loved his Irish heritage and loved the ‘Wearing of the Green’, especially on St. Patrick’s Day.  Whenever we hear ‘Danny Boy’ we’ll forever think of you dad.

We’ll keep our ‘Irish Eyes Smiling’!
